GRIFFIN: Japanese Version Of New CD To Include Bonus Live Material

Norwegian metal act GRIFFIN have abandoned plans to include a couple of cover songs on the Japanese edition of their third full-length album, "No Holds Barred". According to a posting on the band's web site, the Japanese version, due on January 21 through Spiritual Beast Records, will now contain two live songs recorded on the group's last tour. Also included will be a video for the track "The Sentence". Check out a few pictures from the band's most recent recording session at this location.

As previously reported, "No Holds Barred" was recorded at Skansen Lydstudio in Trondheim, Norway under the co-production guidance of CHILDREN OF BODOM frontman Alexi Laiho. In addition to co-producing the effort, Laiho laid down guest guitar and vocals on the CD, which was released in Norway through FaceFront Records.

Prior to hooking up with FaceFront, GRIFFIN were signed to the French label Season Of Mist Records.
